Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: February 4, 2026

Summary

All purchases on the Vedika API platform are final. Subscription payments and wallet credits are non-refundable once the billing cycle has begun or credits have been consumed. Please review the plan details on our Pricing page before subscribing.

1. General Policy

Vedika Intelligence ("Vedika", "we", "us") operates a pay-as-you-go API platform where subscription payments are converted to wallet credits that are consumed with each API call. All sales are final. By subscribing to any plan or adding funds to your wallet, you acknowledge and agree to this policy.

This policy applies to all payments made through our platform, including:

  • Monthly and annual subscription payments
  • Wallet top-up / add-funds purchases
  • Plan upgrades
  • Enterprise and dedicated tenancy payments

2. Subscription Payments

Non-refundable. When you subscribe to a plan (Starter, Professional, Business, or Enterprise), your payment is immediately converted to wallet credits of equivalent USD value. Because these credits are available for use immediately upon payment, subscription fees are non-refundable.

  • Monthly subscriptions: Charged at the beginning of each billing cycle. No partial refunds for unused days within a billing period.
  • Annual subscriptions: Charged in full at the start of the annual billing period. No partial or prorated refunds if you cancel before the year ends.
  • Plan upgrades: The difference is charged immediately and converted to additional wallet credits. Non-refundable.
  • Plan downgrades: Take effect at the start of the next billing cycle. No refund is issued for the current cycle.

3. Wallet Credits

Non-refundable, non-transferable. Wallet credits (whether from subscription payments or manual top-ups) cannot be:

  • Refunded to your original payment method
  • Transferred to another account
  • Exchanged for cash or any other form of payment
  • Carried over beyond the terms of your subscription

Unused wallet credits remain available for use until your account is closed or the credits expire per the terms of your subscription plan.

4. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your Dashboard.

  • Effect of cancellation: Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period. You will not be charged for the next cycle.
  • Remaining credits: Any unused wallet balance will remain available until the end of the current billing period.
  • No partial refunds: Cancelling mid-cycle does not entitle you to a refund for the remaining days.
  • Reactivation: You may resubscribe at any time. Previous unused credits from a cancelled subscription are not restored.

5. Limited Exceptions

Refunds may be considered solely at Vedika's discretion in the following exceptional circumstances:

a) Verified Billing Errors

If you were charged an incorrect amount due to a system error (e.g., duplicate charge, wrong plan amount), we will correct the error and refund the excess. You must report billing errors within 7 days of the charge.

b) Extended Platform Outage

If the Vedika API platform experiences a continuous, verified outage exceeding 24 hours that prevents you from using the service, you may request a prorated credit (not cash refund) for the affected period. SLA credits for Business and Enterprise plans are governed by the respective SLA terms.

c) Unauthorized Charges

If you believe your payment method was used without authorization, contact us immediately. We will investigate and, if verified, process a refund. You must report unauthorized charges within 7 days.

Refund exceptions do not apply to: dissatisfaction with API response quality, changes in business needs, failure to cancel before renewal, or exceeding your plan's API call limits.

6. Chargebacks

If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or payment provider without first contacting us, we reserve the right to:

  • Immediately suspend your account and revoke all API keys
  • Forfeit any remaining wallet credits
  • Pursue recovery of the disputed amount plus any applicable fees

We encourage you to contact support@vedika.io before filing a dispute so we can resolve the issue directly.

7. How to Request a Refund

If you believe you qualify for a refund under the limited exceptions above:

  1. Email support@vedika.io with the subject line "Refund Request"
  2. Include your account email, transaction ID (from your invoice), and reason for the request
  3. Submit within 7 days of the charge in question

We will review your request and respond within 5 business days. If approved, refunds are processed to the original payment method and may take 5-10 business days to appear.

8. Free Sandbox

Vedika provides a free sandbox environment (/sandbox/* endpoints) that returns mock data for development and testing purposes. No API key or payment is required to use the sandbox. We recommend thoroughly testing your integration in the sandbox before subscribing to a paid plan.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this refund policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

10. Governing Law

This policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Pune, Maharashtra, India.
