Astrology in the Language Your Users Actually Read

30 languages. 15 Indian languages generated natively in-script — not bolt-on machine translation.

Most astrology APIs are English-first. Most astrology users are not.

The largest astrology audience in the world reads Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Marathi or another Indian language — not English. Yet most astrology APIs are built English-first and, at best, run their English output through generic machine translation for other languages. The result mangles technical terms, reads awkwardly, and quietly tells your users you weren't built for them.

Vedika takes language seriously because its market demands it.

30 languages, including 15 Indian languages

Vedika supports 30 languages in total. The 15 Indian languages, where it generates natively, are:

Native generation, not bolt-on translation

This is the difference that matters. For its supported Indian languages, Vedika generates the answer directly in that language and script — it does not write an English reply and translate it afterward. That distinction has real consequences:

  • Terminology survives. Words like nakshatra, dasha, yoga and graha appear in their proper regional forms, not as clumsy literal translations.
  • It reads naturally. Output sounds like it was written by someone who speaks the language, not run through a converter.
  • Script is correct end to end. Devanagari, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali and the rest render properly throughout.

The natural-language AI query endpoint (POST /api/v1/astrology/query) replies in the user's chosen language, so a Hindi-speaking user can ask a question in Hindi and get a grounded answer in Hindi.

Who this is for

  • Matrimonial platforms serving regional audiences — kundali matching and readings in the user's mother tongue.
  • Regional horoscope apps that need daily content in Tamil, Telugu, Marathi and beyond.
  • Multilingual astrology chatbots where users type in their own language.
  • Any product whose growth depends on reaching non-English Indian users authentically.

How to request a language

Pass the target language in your request and the response comes back in that language. Because the underlying chart is computed deterministically (by the open-source XALEN engine), the astrology is identical across languages — only the phrasing changes. You get the same accuracy in Tamil that you get in English.

See the documentation for the exact language parameter, and the astrology API guide for the full integration flow.
