Drop in a Shortcode

Shortcode

[vedika_horoscope sign="aries" lang="en" period="daily"]

[vedika_tarot]

[vedika_panchang date="" lat="28.6139" lng="77.209"]

Every shortcode also has a Gutenberg block or sidebar widget equivalent, configurable without touching code. Output is clean HTML with vedika- prefixed CSS classes, so it never collides with your theme.

Install in 4 Steps

STEP 01

Upload the Plugin

Upload the vedika-astrology folder to /wp-content/plugins/.

STEP 02

Activate It

Activate Vedika Astrology from the Plugins menu in your WordPress admin.

STEP 03 · OPTIONAL

Add Your API Key

Go to Settings > Vedika API to enter your key and switch from sandbox to live production data.

STEP 04

Drop In a Shortcode

Add a shortcode or block to any post or page. Requires WordPress 6.0+ and PHP 7.4+.

Works without an API key out of the box — sandbox endpoints return realistic sample data, no sign-up required to test. Responses are cached via WordPress transients (15 minutes to 24 hours, configurable), so live pages never wait on an API call.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the Vedika WordPress plugin do?
It adds drop-in astrology widgets and shortcodes to any WordPress site, powered by the Vedika API, so you can publish birth charts, horoscopes, panchang and more without writing integration code.
Do I need to write code to use it?
No. The plugin exposes shortcodes you place in posts and pages, plus configurable widgets, so a WordPress site owner can embed astrology features without touching the API directly.
Which astrology features can I embed?
You can embed features drawn from Vedika's 700+ API operations across 25 systems — including kundali, horoscope, kundali matching, panchang and numerology — across the Vedic, Western and KP systems.
Does the plugin support multiple languages?
Yes. Because it is powered by the Vedika API, the widgets can render in 30 languages, including 15 Indic languages with native script.
Do I need a Vedika API key for the plugin?
Yes for live data. The plugin calls the Vedika API with your key. You can test endpoints free in the sandbox first, and paid plans start at $12 per month.
